Shaun Conway has a diverse work experience in the field of occupational therapy. Shaun started their career as a Staff Occupational Therapist at Good Samaritan Medical Center's Orthopedics and Rehab Unit in 1987. Later, they joined the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA) in 1988, where they held various positions including Legislative Assistant and State Legislation Program Manager. In these roles, they managed strategic legislative initiatives, provided presentations, and responded to reimbursement inquiries from occupational therapy practitioners.
Conway then moved to the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT) in 1993 and served as Assistant Director, Regulatory Affairs. Shaun later became the Director of Credentialing Services and then the Senior Director, Credentialing Services, overseeing the implementation and development of the department's functions. Currently, they are Vice President, External and Regulatory Affairs at NBCOT, responsible for liaising with external constituencies and monitoring healthcare legislation.

Shaun Conway obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 1986. (NBCOT) and the certification of Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) from BadgeCert in December 2015.
