Mustafa Farooq

Mustafa Farooq has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to 2023. Mustafa began their career as an Audit Supervisor at Grant Thornton, where they were responsible for planning, supervising, and completing audits for various clients. Mustafa then worked as an Audit Senior at Grant Thornton UAE, where their role included managing teams, assessing risks, and resolving issues during audits.

In 2014, Mustafa joined the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited, starting as a Deputy Manager in Legal & Compliance and progressing to roles such as Manager and Senior Manager in Compliance & Risk. During their time there, they played a key role in maintaining compliance and managing risk.

In 2020, Mustafa assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary at EClear Services Limited. Mustafa'sresponsibilities included overseeing financial matters and serving as a company secretary.

Most recently, Mustafa became the Head of Compliance at NBP Fund Management Limited in February 2023. With their extensive experience in compliance, Mustafa is well-equipped to ensure that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements and policies.

Mustafa then pursued further specialization in accounting and finance by enrolling in ICAEW, where they are expected to complete their Chartered Accountant degree in 2022.

In 2014, Mustafa Farooq acquired the Certified Forensic Investigation Auditor designation from the Association of Forensic and Investigative Auditor. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Economics degree from Karachi University between 2010 and 2012, with a focus on economics. Mustafa'sBachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree was also obtained from Karachi University, earned between 2008 and 2010.

At an earlier stage in their education, Mustafa Farooq attended the Institute of Business Education from 2004 to 2006, where they completed their Intermediate studies with a focus on commerce. Mustafa completed their high school education at SMS Aga Khan School, where they studied from 1992 to 2004.

Most recently, in 2022, Mustafa Farooq obtained the Fundamental of Capital Markets Certification and Pakistan's Market Regulations Certification from the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan.
