Sam Elkin

Sam Elkin is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. As the Director of Marketing & Communications and Public Information Director at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum since January 2024, Sam has led media relations, coordinated press conferences, and managed FOIA requests while developing annual communication plans. In the role of Information & Communications Coordinator at the NC State Board of Elections since November 2022, Sam has crafted communication strategies to bolster agency messaging and spearheaded a statewide voter education initiative. Sam also serves as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army since September 2014 and has held creative leadership positions such as Creative Director at Shore Design, where branding initiatives for multiple sectors were developed. Previous roles include Marketing Specialist at Registrar Corp and Membership Director at American Family Fitness. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Indiana Wesleyan University.
