Kristan Russell is a Senior Research Associate at the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges since October 2022, where responsibilities include serving as the editor of the Juvenile and Family Court Journal and directing the Nevada Center for Juvenile Justice Innovation. In addition, Kristan Russell has recently taken on a position at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas as part of the THRIVE study, aimed at evaluating the needs of domestic violence survivors in Clark County, Nevada. Previous experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor of Justice Studies and Research Scientist at Prairie View A&M University, as well as educational positions at the University of Nevada Reno, UMass Medical School, and other institutions. Kristan Russell holds a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno, a Master's in Forensic Psychology from Roger Williams University, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Penn State Behrend, supplemented by minors in Political Science and Business Management.
