Shavonda Williams

Shavonda joined the NDC Asset Management team in May 2019 with over nine years of property management experience. During her time in the industry, Shavonda has overseen portfolios that include conventional, tax credit, site-based Section 8, Public Housing and Rural Development USDA housing. She holds the following certificates; Tax Credit Specialist, COS-Advanced, Public Housing Specialist and Public Housing Management.

In her most recent role as the Public Housing Director for the Lafayette Housing Authority, she led a team of 20 employees while implementing policies and best practices that increased occupancy for 572 units from 87% to 96% which aided the agency in being released from HUD’s receivership. She also worked closely with Developers to submit a 4% and 9% Tax Credit Application for funding.

Prior to her time with the Lafayette Housing Authority, she was an Area Manager overseeing 24 employees and 838 units, and a Regional Manager with oversight of 52 employees and 1,038 units. During that time, she led preparations for USDA, REAC and LHC inspections, completed lease ups, marketing and relocation plans for a Tax Credit Rehab on a site-based Section 8 location while also assisting with the renovations.

Shavonda is a member of the ARCH Coalition and the Lafayette ReEntry Program to decrease homelessness and recidivism in the city. In her time, she was instrumental in securing the grant from the VERA Institute of Justice to change the ACOP to aid in the reunification of families and recently released prisoners to reduce recidivism.
