Leroy Boerefijn

Leroy Boerefijn is an experienced engineering professional specializing in mechatronics and system engineering. Currently serving as a System Engineer and Mechatronics Engineer at Nearfield Instruments B.V. since January 2021, Leroy previously worked at ASML as a Design Engineer, focusing on high precision optical encoder systems for DUV lithographic systems. Prior roles include consulting in mechatronics at Alten Nederland, teaching assistance at TU Delft, and engineering for the Formula Student Team Delft, where contributions led to significant racing achievements. In addition to engineering, Leroy has a background in athletics as a semi-professional volleyball player and has experience in tutoring and relationship management. Educational qualifications include a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
