Hamid Karbasi

Hamid Karbasi has extensive experience in academia and industry, currently serving as a PAC Member of the Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning Graduate Certificate Program and Consultant, Program Development at Humber College since September 2021. As the Founder and CEO of Neatco Engineering Services Inc. since December 2010, Karbasi has also held significant roles such as an Ambassador at the Circular Economy Institute since April 2021 and Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo since January 2009. Prior experience includes serving as NSERC Industrial Research Chair for Colleges at Conestoga College from September 2005 to August 2021 and as CTO at Farsightech Inc. from May 2002 to July 2005. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Robotics and Automation from the University of Waterloo, an MSc in Mechanical Engineering-Applied Design from the University of Tehran, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering-Solid Mechanics from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic.
