Christopher Ely

Christopher Ely has extensive experience in the nuclear power field, currently serving as a Nuclear Instructor (Operations) at Nebraska Public Power District since July 2017. Prior to this role, Christopher Ely spent two decades with the US Navy, where responsibilities included training new sailors as a Nuclear Power Instructor at the Nuclear Power Training Unit and overseeing plant operations as Engineering Watch Supervisor, contributing to five strategic deterrent patrols. Additionally, Christopher Ely held the position of Quality Assurance Supervisor, ensuring compliance with critical program requirements, and served as a Nuclear Machinist Mate, supervising the maintenance and operation of submarine nuclear propulsion plants. Educational qualifications include attendance at Naval Nuclear Power School and completion of specialized training in nuclear propulsion and welding.
