Elizabeth MacLeod Walls

Elizabeth MacLeod Walls, Ph.D., currently serves as President of Washington & Jefferson College since June 2024 and has been the President of William Jewell College since July 2016. In addition, Elizabeth has held the position of Dean of University College at Nebraska Wesleyan University since 2012, along with prior roles at William Jewell College, including President in 2016. Elizabeth's extensive experience also includes presidency at BryanLGH College of Health Sciences, as well as leadership in the Lilly Endowment Project for Clergy Education and Renewal. Elizabeth earned a Ph.D. in English Literature and Rhetoric from Texas Christian University, along with a Certificate for Completion of the Management and Leadership in Education Course from Harvard Graduate School of Education. A foundational education includes a BA in English and History from Hiram College.
