Cathy Clauson

Cathy Clauson is an experienced grant writer currently employed at Neighborhood House since January 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Development Associate and Development Assistant at The Open Door from June 2018 to December 2021, and as a grant writing intern at Tubman in early 2018. Cathy also gained experience as a Development Intern at Minnesota Zoo Foundation and as a Grant Writing and Events Intern at Minnesota Children's Museum in 2017. Previous to their nonprofit work, Cathy had a long tenure at St. Paul Pioneer Press, serving as News Editor and Copy Editor from 1995 to 2016, and held editorial positions at MSP Communications from 1989 to 1995. Cathy holds a Master of Business Communications certificate from the University of St. Thomas and a BA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota.
