Tom Tarara

Tom Tarara is a highly experienced formulation scientist with over 28 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Director at Nektar Therapeutics since November 1999, Tom possesses a multidisciplinary background in physical pharmacy, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and process sciences, with a specific focus on colloid-based research and development. Prior to this role, Tom worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Alliance Pharmaceuticals from January 1990 to November 1999, where responsibilities included the development and qualification of analytical methodologies as well as formulation development for parenteral fluorocarbon emulsions. Tom is recognized as an expert in the use of phospholipids for drug delivery.
