Jasmine Abbasov has a diverse work experience in the digital media and marketing industry. Jasmine started their career as a Development Intern at ArtPrize, where they contributed to production planning and event scheduling for donors and sponsors. Jasmine then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University, assisting in grading and curriculum decisions for a communication arts and sciences course. Jasmine also gained experience as a Show Representative and Box Office staff at Mac's Bar, where they oversaw the successful production of concerts and festivals. Jasmine further honed their digital marketing skills at Spartan Innovations, where they worked with student entrepreneurs to develop websites and taught them how to use CMS platforms and basic coding. Jasmine then joined MIRMADE Productions as an Associate Producer, where they specialized in music video, short film, and commercial production. Jasmine also briefly worked as a Freelance Video Professional and a Video Editor/Videographer at Adventure We Can, working on various video shoots for marketing purposes. Jasmine's most recent role was at Hearst Magazines, where they served as a Video Content Producer, overseeing post-production scheduling and social media posting for multiple brands. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Digital Media at NEON.
Jasmine Abbasov attended Michigan State University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media and Information, Cognitive Science, and Film Studies. Jasmine also completed additional certifications, including the Film Futura Inaugural Cohort from NO EVIL EYE CINEMA in September 2021, and Facebook Marketing: Advanced Advertising and Facebook Marketing: Advertising from Lynda.com in November 2017.
