Marvin BENSE has a diverse work experience in various roles related to product ownership, development, and engineering.

Marvin started their career at HOCHTIEF Solutions AG - Civil Engineering Marine and Offshore in 2010, where they analyzed the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic behavior of gravity-based and tripod foundations for offshore wind turbines. Marvin also surveyed and interpreted model tests using ANSYS Aqua and Autohydro.

In 2013, they worked as a Marine Technology Engineer at the Centre for Ships and Ocean Structures (CeSOS), NTNU. Here, they executed numerical analysis and evaluated model tests for a new concept of pre-assembled offshore wind turbine generators.

From 2014 to 2019, Marvin held multiple roles at Aker Solutions. As a Riser Analysis Engineer, they conducted hydrodynamic and structural analyses of offshore structures and led the initiative to standardize and automate Global Riser Analysis tasks. Marvin also worked as a KBE Developer and Functional Architect, where they developed and maintained Knowledge-Based Engineering software tools and optimized interdisciplinary work processes.

In 2019, they joined Saipem as a Product Owner and Developer, responsible for coordinating product development, researching client needs, and developing product roadmaps. Marvin also collaborated with the technology team to establish timelines for product rollout.

Marvin was later a Product Owner at Computation Hub in 2019-2020.

Currently, Marvin BENSE is working at Neonomics since 2020 as the Head of Development, ensuring the delivery of tech organization's goals aligned with the overall company strategy. Marvin is also responsible for making correct technical decisions and reporting on the status of major initiatives. Additionally, they previously served as the Technical Product Owner for Neonomics UAPI service, researching client needs and regulatory requirements within the open banking and PSD2 ecosystem.

Marvin Bense obtained their Master's Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including "Microservices Foundations" from LinkedIn in October 2020, "Advanced SQL for Data Scientists" from LinkedIn in July 2020, "Machine Learning" from Coursera in May 2020, and "Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®)" from Scrum Alliance in April 2020.
