Neftali Varela

Neftali Varela has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and database administration. Neftali began their career in 2010 as an IT Consultant at TecnoMTY, where they developed applications in Java using the Struts framework and worked with Oracle Database Server. In 2012, they joined Ternium as an Oracle Consultant, specializing in database cloning, user support, backups, and restoration. Neftali then moved on to SAT - Servicio de Administración Tributaria in 2013, where they served as an Oracle Consultant, focusing on database tuning, backup and recovery configuration, performance optimization, and ETL administration. In 2014, Neftali worked as an Oracle Consultant at SEDESOL, Oportunidades, implementing various Oracle technologies such as DataGuard, Data Masking, and Cloud Control. Since 2015, Neftali has been working at NEORIS, initially as a Senior DBA Consultant and currently as an Information Technology Team Lead. In their current role, they oversee IT projects and provides leadership and guidance to the team.

Neftali Varela obtained a degree in Ingenieria en sistemas computacionales with a specialization in Desarrollo de software from ITSSP between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, Neftali has certifications including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft, Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate from Oracle, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate from Microsoft (to be obtained in January 2023), and Google Professional Cloud Architect from Google (obtained in January 2021).
