Hyunchang Kim

Hyunchang Kim has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Hyunchang is currently working as a Chief Software Engineer at NEOWIZ since December 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Software Engineer at NEOWIZ PLAY STUDIO from June 2016 to December 2020.

Before joining NEOWIZ, Hyunchang worked at LG Electronics as a Senior Research Engineer from June 2012 to May 2016. In this role, they were responsible for developing Smart TV platforms and technology roadmaps, planning the implementation of new technologies based on market trends, competitors, and technology advancements.

Hyunchang also worked as the R&D Director at Greemnamu from January 2012 to July 2012, where they focused on entertainment technology analysis and roadmap design. Additionally, Hyunchang was the CTO and Co-Founder of Imagination Factory from January 2010 to December 2011. Hyunchang analyzed existing products and technologies in the market and designed technical roadmaps for future commercial products.

Earlier in their career, Hyunchang held positions at Kleesoft as a Senior Staff Engineer from September 2008 to December 2009, Motorola Mobility as an Intern from February 2008 to July 2008, Bossa Nova Concepts as a part-time employee from July 2007 to January 2008, and Digitalwave Inc as a Researcher from 2002 to 2005.

Hyunchang Kim pursued their Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Seoul National University, completing their studies from 1998 to 2006. Later, they went on to pursue a Master's degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, accomplishing this from 2006 to 2008.
