Andrew Stivers

Andrew Stivers is a seasoned professional in economics and consumer protection, currently serving as Managing Director at NERA since May 2021, after progressing through roles as Director and Associate Director. Prior experience includes Deputy Director for Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission, where leadership was provided on economic implications across various sectors. Stivers also directed the Division of Public Health Informatics and Analytics at the FDA, overseeing research and data management for health and safety regulations. Previous roles include acting Deputy Director in Office of Analytics and Outreach at the FDA and Economist focused on food safety. Stivers began an academic career as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Oregon State University and earned a PhD in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
