Chad Bern has extensive experience in finance and strategy roles. Chad is currently the Chief Financial Officer at NESN since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at NBCUniversal from 2016 to 2022 as the Vice President of Finance and Strategy for the Local Owned Stations and Regional Sports Networks. At NBCUniversal, they were responsible for managing finance, strategy, tax, and accounting functions. Chad also played a key role in the construction of the NBC Universal Boston Media Center. Before joining NBCUniversal, Chad worked at ESPN from 2006 to 2016. Chad held positions such as Director of Digital Media Finance and Strategy, where they managed finance and strategy operations for digital and print media businesses. Chad also served as a Senior Manager, overseeing finance and reporting for ESPN.com and Video Games. Prior to entering the media industry, Chad worked as an Associate at Frontenac Company and as an Analyst in the M&A Telecommunications, Media, and Technology Group at Lazard Freres & Co. Chad started their career as an Auditing Intern at Ernst & Young International in Hong Kong and as an Intern at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France.
Chad Bern attended The Wharton School from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
