Paulo Almeida

Paulo Almeida has diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Paulo started their career as a Java Developer at Aventia, where they worked on projects related to integrated management systems and access control. Paulo then joined Comet Solutions Limited as a J2EE/Chordiant Support Developer, where they contributed to Java analysis and proposed fixes for a CRM system.

After that, Paulo worked as an Android Lead Developer at Worldline Global Services, focusing on Android app development. Paulo then joined The Digital Marvels as a Vice President of Engineering, where they played a crucial role in product development and team building.

Paulo's next role was as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Pomelo Fashion. Paulo led a diverse software development team, managed product development and strategy, and optimized the customer experience through UI/UX enhancements. Paulo also oversaw cloud infrastructure scalability and performance.

Following Pomelo Fashion, Paulo joined Central Tech as the Head of Engineering & DevOps, where they were responsible for technical execution, operational improvements, and setting the vision for technology usage. Paulo led a team of over 200 employees and ensured that technological resources met the company's needs.

After Central Tech, Paulo served as the Chief Technology Officer at Rabbit Care, where they led the company's technical vision and strategy. Paulo built and managed teams, integrated payment gateways, and oversaw the development of advanced InsurTech CRM systems.

Prior to their current position, Paulo worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an AWS Startup Scout, scouting for innovative startups. Paulo also joined New Relic, Inc. as part of the Customer Advisory Board, providing guidance and insights.

Currently, Paulo holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Neso Brands. Paulo is responsible for technology integrations, conducting technical due diligence for potential investments, and leading the M&A tech team in architectural improvements and technology deployment.

Paulo Almeida completed their high school education from Carolina Michaelis between 1998 and 2001, with a focus on informatics. Paulo then progressed to Universidade do Porto, where they pursued a degree in computer science from 2003 to 2007. Paulo has also obtained additional certifications, including a Go (Basic) Certificate from HackerRank in August 2021 and a Rest API (Intermediate) Certificate from HackerRank in August 2020.
