Chad Sheridan

Chad Sheridan is the Chief Innovation Officer at Net Impact. Chad has held this position for 2 years and 6 months. Before that, Chad Sheridan was the Chief Information Officer at the USDA-Risk Management Agency. Chad was responsible for all aspects of the agency’s information systems, including development, modernization, enhancement, maintenance and operations. Chad also developed strategic vision, plans and corresponding budgets for agency information systems, partnering with business units to support and enhance delivery of the Federal Crop Insurance Program. Accomplishments during their time as CIO include developing, deploying, and refining a rapid service design and delivery approach based on Agile software development, continuous delivery, and devops principles. Chad also delivered the agency’s first production business application based on a Platform-as-a-Service cloud software development tool, which resulted in a 20% reduction in planned development costs while delivering 10% more capability. In addition, they led efforts with other USDA bureau CIOs and the USDA CIO to establish a active and effective USDA CIO Council built on collaboration and shared interest. Chad held this position for 7 years and 5 months.

Chad Sheridan has a B.S. from the University of Virginia in Nuclear Engineering, an executive education from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and various certifications in ITIL, project management, and engineering.
