Maryke Elgoran Née Penman

Maryke Elgoran née Penman is an accomplished professional in the sports PR and media space, currently serving as the Founder of PlayMaker PR since October 2021 and as Editor for The SiS Report since July 2023. Elgoran also holds the position of MG Mystics Media Manager at Netball New Zealand and is an Advisory Board Member for Girls Rugby Club. Previously, Elgoran managed communications for RWC2021 at New Zealand Rugby and led PR efforts at Macesport. With a solid background in client management and team leadership from roles at Acumen Republic, alongside a history as a Premier 15s and Sevens player, Elgoran combines sports experience with expertise in media relations, digital content, and influencer engagement. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Communication Studies from AUT University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Women in Leadership from Nottingham Trent University.
