Alexia Liakounakou

Alexia Liakounakou is currently a Senior Audio Visual Content Journalist at Netcompany-Intrasoft. Previously, Alexia held positions as an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL, where Alexia obtained a PhD in Social & Medical Anthropology with a research focus on cosmetic pharmaceuticals and anti-ageing technologies. Throughout their career, Alexia has also worked as a Managing Editor at Makeshift Media, Production Assistant at Arete Stories, and Contributor/Writer at Think Africa Press, among other roles in journalism, research, and production. Their educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology from UCL, a Master's Degree in Social Anthropology from SOAS University of London, and a Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology and History of Art from the same institution.
