Jimmy Su

Jimmy Su has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jimmy started their career at Qume Corporation as a Design Engineer in 1986 and then moved to SynOptics Communications as a Member of Technical Staff in 1989. In 1991, they joined Adaptec as a Hardware Engineering Project Lead, where they were responsible for ASIC development and worked on a laser printer controller project. Jimmy then worked at ESS technology, Inc. as a Field Application Engineer from 1994 to 1995, and at Nortel Networks as a Senior Hardware Engineer from 1995 to 1996.

In 1996, Jimmy joined NETGEAR as the Director of Product Development / Engineering Project Manager, where they grew a team of engineers and managers and was responsible for developing various networking products. Jimmy worked at NETGEAR for ten years.

After leaving NETGEAR, Jimmy joined Cisco-Linksys as the Director of Product Engineering, where they led teams developing products for the retail markets. Jimmy then moved to Nokia as a Senior Manager, ODM Program, where they focused on bringing design and development discipline to lower costs and speed up development time.

Most recently, Jimmy Su worked at NETGEAR as the Senior Director of Product Engineering, where they managed project engineers across different locations and developed various versions of Arlo IP Cameras. Under their leadership, the Arlo product line experienced significant growth in revenue.

Jimmy Su earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin from 1982 to 1985. Jimmy then pursued a Master's Program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Santa Clara University from 1986 to 1987. Later, from 1991 to 1994, they completed their MBA in Business Administration and Management, General at San Jose State University.
