Raymond Joyner has worked in various cybersecurity and IT roles throughout their career. Raymond started working as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Verizon Federal Security in 2012 and continued until 2014. In 2014, they joined the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs as an Information Technology Specialist (Supervisory), responsible for digital communications services, planning, wireless internet, voice and data circuits, and Emergency E-911 mandate planning. During their tenure, they designed and developed policies, procedures, and training materials for end-users. In 2015, they became a Project Manager at Verizon Enterprise Solutions and worked there until they left to join Netizen Corporation in January 2017 as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer. Raymond joined LEIDOS CYBER, INC. as a Cyber Security Engineer Program Manager in November 2017, where they work currently.
Raymond Joyner attended Campbell University from 2013-2016 and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Information Technology Security. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including GSEC from the SANS Institute in 2014, CISSP from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) in 2014, CEH from EC-Council in 2011, Security+ from CompTIA in 2007, and ITIL Foundations, though the institution and year of obtaining were not specified.
