Tom Solberg has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Tom started their career in 1984 at Nokia, where they worked as a Key Account Manager until 1998. After that, they joined Alcatel Enterprise Division and served as Vice President until 2000. Tom also worked at Alcatel Distribusjon as Vice President from 1998 to 2001. In 2000, they became a Board Member at Ignis ASA, where they remained until 2003. In 2001, Tom founded NetNordic and currently holds the role of Founder. Tom is also a Board Member at NetNordic. Tom's other roles include Chairman of the Board at NetNordic Finland Oy from 2010 to 2014 and Chairman of the Board at NetNordic Denmark from 2010 to 2012. Since 2016, they have been working as an Investor at Tista AS.

Tom Solberg completed their education in a chronological sequence. From 1976 to 1979, they attended Christian August vg. skole Halden, where they pursued a naturfaglig field of study. From 1981 to 1983, they enrolled at Østfold University College (HiØ) and earned a Bachelor of electronics degree. Finally, from 1983 to 1984, they studied at BI Norwegian Business School and obtained a Bachelor of Management degree with a specialization in Economics. No degree name was specified for their time at Christian August vg. skole Halden.
