Leandro Galvez

Leandro Galvez has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Leandro started their career as a Software Engineering Supervisor at Vicon Communications Philippines, Inc in 2001. Later, they joined BiTMICRO Networks as a Technical Manager, where they supervised a team and ensured the completion of various projects. Leandro then worked at Cassis International as a Technical Manager/Principal Engineer, where they helped design and architect projects, including porting Android, QT, and embedded Linux to ARM platforms. Leandro also worked at Medium Access Systems Pte Ltd as a Technical Manager, where they helped design a network infrastructure for automatic access to enterprise and metro networks.

Leandro also worked at Elink International as a Technical Manager/Principal Engineer, where they set up the engineering firm for sub-contract projects and ensured the technical advancement of the engineering team. Leandro then joined nanu as a Technical Solutions Architect, where they worked closely with the CTO to define projects and architect the VoIP system.

In 2017, Leandro joined NETS as a VP of Technology, where they managed projects such as NETSPay HCE and NETSPay Wallet. Leandro also architected a new AWS implementation of existing NETS payments. Leandro fronted all SDLC audits by external auditing firms and played a crucial role in onboarding local banks into the payment system.

Currently, Leandro is working at ShopBack as a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer, leveraging their expertise to improve system reliability and performance.

Leandro Galvez attended the University of the Philippines from 1995 to 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering.
