Sayanthan Mahendran

Sayanthan Mahendran has a diverse work experience starting from 2016. Sayanthan began their career as a Trainee at Environmental Foundation Ltd. (EFL) in October 2016 and worked there until March 2017. After that, they joined Alpex Marine (Pvt) Ltd as a Quality Control Executive from April 2017 to March 2018. Sayanthan then transitioned to Virtusa as an Associate Software Engineer in December 2018 and worked on developing new features and enhancements for large-scale Enterprise Applications until January 2021. Next, they joined BlackSwan Technologies in January 2021 as a Software Engineer, where they played a lead role in a List Management microservice project and contributed significantly to solution designing, architecture reviews, new feature implementations, and release management. Their expertise in software engineering led to their current position as a Senior Software Engineer at NETS, starting from July 2022.

Sayanthan Mahendran began their education in 2002 at Jaffna Hindu College, where they studied Biological Science until 2011. Following this, they attended Wayamba University of Sri Lanka from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Food Production and Technology Management. In 2017, they enrolled in BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, where they obtained a Professional Graduate Diploma in IT in 2019. Additionally, Sayanthan Mahendran obtained a certification from BCS in October 2017.
