Jay Garala

Jay Garala has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Jay started their career at Electrosoft Services, Inc. in 2003, where they worked as a Senior Analyst. During their time there, they developed J2EE applications for the NSA, utilizing various technologies such as BEA WebLogic, Tomcat, MySQL, Struts, and XML. Jay also implemented SSL authentication for WebLogic and Tomcat and automated Smartcard token issuance.

In 2005, Jay joined Near Infinity as a Software Engineer. Jay worked in this role until 2008, gaining experience in software development.

In 2006, Jay transitioned to Near Infinity Corporation, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer until 2013. In this position, they designed and developed components in JEE to transform XML metadata into multiple formats and distribute content to multiple destinations. Jay also utilized the Velocity Template Engine to implement custom formats that could be updated without system downtime. Jay developed and maintained custom XML schemas and XSLT, and collaborated closely with Systems Engineers to define requirements and coordinate content to downstream systems.

Since 2013, Jay has been employed at NetWitness as a Software Senior Principal Engineer.

Jay Garala completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University from 1996 to 2001.
