Markus Fischer has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Markus currently holds the position of Vice President and CTO at Neuman Aluminium Raufoss since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at ZF Group from 2017 to 2021, where they served as VP Engineering. Before joining ZF Group, they were the Executive Director of Engineering at Tenneco from 2015 to 2017.
Markus had a long tenure at ZF Friedrichshafen, starting in 1989. During their time at ZF Friedrichshafen, they held several leadership roles, including Global Director of Chassis Engineering from 2012 to 2015, Director of Chassis Engineering from 2010 to 2012, and Engineering Director from 2007 to 2009. Markus was also the Manager of Engineering and Engineering Quality from 2005 to 2006 and Manager from 1999 to 2004.
Before joining ZF Friedrichshafen, Markus served as a Research Group Team Leader, where they focused on designs for bearings and sealing systems for Chassis components. Markus also worked as a Senior Project Engineer, overseeing Volvo programs and chassis components projects.
Markus started their career at ZF Vocational training & Engineering education at the University of Osnabrueck from 1989 to 1994. Throughout their career, they have been involved in various aspects of engineering, leadership, and customer support within the automotive industry.
Markus Fischer pursued their education in a progressive manner. Markus first attended Gymnasium Damme from 1981 to 1988, where they completed their Abitur. Following this, from 1989 to 1994, they attended Fachhochschule Osnabrück, obtaining a Dipl-Ing. degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Markus Fischer also obtained the Knowledge Aware Basic Certification from the International Knowledge Aware Association (IKAA) in August 2022.
