Marc Siquier Peñafort has worked in the audio engineering and computer science fields since 2014. Marc began their career as an Application Programmer for AMES - Sintered Metallic Components, where they created an application designed to classify metal sintered pieces as part of AMES' quality system. In 2015, they moved to the Barcelona Supercomputing Center as a Developer in the Storage Systems department, working on the European IOStack project. In 2018, they joined Meridian Audio Ltd as a DSP Engineer, orchestrating development and implementation of audio algorithms and DSP code for both Meridian Core products and collaborative LG Electronics products. In 2020, they began working at Blackstar Amplification Ltd as a DSP Engineer, developing, implementing and optimizing DSP algorithms. Currently, they are a DSP Engineer for Neural DSP Technologies, where they are maintaining and optimizing current algorithms, modelling and developing new models, and supporting the algorithm design, UI and creative teams.
Marc Siquier Peñafort has a diverse educational background. From 2000 to 2010, they studied Professional Music at the Conservatori Professional de Música i Dança de les Illes Balears. Marc then obtained a Bachelor's degree in Audiovisuals Systems Engineering from UPC - ETSETB TelecomBCN between 2010 and 2015. In 2016, they completed a Master's degree in Sound and Music Computing at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Marc also has several certifications, including Machine Learning for Musicians and Artists from Kadenze Inc. in 2017, Audio Signal Processing for Music Applications from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, Machine Learning Course from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016, Cambridge English: Advanced from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2015, and Codificación de audio: Más allá del MP3 from edX.
