David Patrick

David Patrick, CISSP, has extensive work experience spanning over 25 years. David is currently serving as the Director of Security and Compliance at Neural Payments since April 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Engineering at the same company from April 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining Neural Payments, David worked at Perspecta as a Senior Network Engineer from June 2018 to April 2021. David also held the position of Senior Network Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from July 2014 to May 2018.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Network Engineer at Harris Corporation from April 2004 to July 2014. Before that, they worked at Consolidated Networks Inc. as a Network Engineer from November 2001 to March 2004.

David began their career in the IT industry as an IT Specialist at Advantage Tech from 2000 to 2001. David also gained experience as a Design Draftsmen at KCI, Incorporated from 1998 to 1999 and at The Toro Company from 1997 to 1998.

David started their professional journey as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the Advanced Manufacturing Institute in 1995.

Overall, David Patrick has a diverse background in engineering and network security, with a strong focus on management and compliance in their current role at Neural Payments.

David Patrick attended Johnson County Community College from 1992 to 1994 and obtained an Associate's Degree. David then transferred to Kansas State University, where they studied Mechanical Engineering from 1994 to 1997.

In terms of certifications, David obtained several throughout their career. In 2000, they became a Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) through Novell. David also obtained their CompTIA A+ certification the same year. In 2001, David achieved the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification from Microsoft. David later obtained the CompTIA Net+ certification in 2001 and the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification in 2002 from Cisco.

In 2010, David obtained the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from (ISC)². David also achieved the CompTIA Security+ certification in 2010.

In the following years, David obtained various certifications, including CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate) in 2008, CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) in 2015, CCNA-Wireless (Cisco Certified Network Associate-Wireless) in 2012, and CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional) in 2015, all from Cisco.

Furthermore, David obtained the CompTIA Security+, ITILv3 Foundation, and CompTIA Net+ certifications in 2010, 2011, and 2010, respectively. David also became a BCNE (Brocade Certified IP Network Engineer) in 2012 and an ECSE-Design (Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer) in 2020.

Recently, David obtained the Aruba Certified ClearPass Associate (ACCA) certification in 2020 from Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company. David also achieved the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification in 2020 from Scaled Agile, Inc.

Additionally, David obtained the ACMA (Aruba Certified Mobility Associate) certification in 2019, the NPDESI (Network Programmability Design and Implementation Specialist) certification in 2018, and the RSSS (Cisco Routing and Switching Solutions Specialist) certification in 2009, all from their respective institutions.
