Hikmet Yildiz

Hikmet Yildiz is a Senior Staff Algorithm Engineer at Neural Propulsion Systems, Inc. since August 2021, specializing in radar technology, previously holding the position of Staff Algorithm Engineer focused on autonomous driving and sensor fusion. Prior experience includes a role as Senior AI Research Engineer at Samsung Semiconductor US, where work centered on deep learning for channel coding, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Caltech, where significant contributions were made by solving the GM-MDS conjecture and proving the performance equivalence of Reed-Solomon codes in distributed coding. Additional internships at Samsung Semiconductor US and Aselsan involved nonlinear least square optimization for SLAM and target detection algorithms, respectively. Hikmet Yildiz holds a PhD and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, along with a B.S. from Bilkent University.
