Dr. Simi G.

Dr. Simi G. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. They currently hold the position of Chief Data Science and Product Officer at NeuralMetrics since September 2022. Prior to this, Dr. G. worked at The Chirish Group as a Senior Consultant and Lead Data Scientist from November 2019 to September 2022. In this role, they were involved in strategic management consulting and data science projects, including evaluating IP portfolios and conducting technical due diligence.

Before joining The Chirish Group, Dr. G. served as the Head of Data Science & Applied Artificial Intelligence at AXA XL, a division of AXA, from April 2020 to August 2021. They were responsible for delivering AI/ML and BI solutions, as well as converting unstructured data into actionable insights. Additionally, Dr. G. worked as a Senior COE Leader and Business Solutions Analyst at AXA XL from July 2018 to April 2020.

Prior to their roles at AXA XL, Dr. G. had a long tenure at SCHOTT, where they held various positions from November 2010 to July 2018. Their responsibilities included driving profits and managing the global sales and manufacturing portfolio for laser products. They also served as an external consultant for SCHOTT from 2018 to 2020.

Dr. G.'s career began at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they worked as a Physicist Post Doctoral Fellow from March 2008 to November 2010. They played a key role in developing the global EUV microlithography technology roadmap and completed research that resulted in peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

In addition, Dr. G. conducted laser plasma physics and spectroscopy research at the College of Optics and Photonics from January 2004 to March 2008. They focused on laser irradiation of micro-targets for plasma generation and collaborated with others to address research challenges.

Dr. G. started their career as a Graduate Student at the University of Central Florida, where they pursued further education from 2002 to 2007.

Dr. Simi G. completed their education history as follows:

From 1996 to 2002, they attended Florida Atlantic University, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree. Dr. Simi pursued dual degrees in Physics and Chemistry during this time.

Between 2002 and 2007, Dr. G. pursued higher education at the University of Central Florida, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics.

In 2016, they enrolled in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed their studies in 2018, earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Executive MBA.

Additionally, after completing their formal education, Dr. G. obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2019, they earned an Associate in Insurance Data Analytics (AIDA) certification and completed an Enterprise Risk Management program, both from The Institutes CPCU Society. In 2020, they obtained a CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) designation from The Institutes.

Furthermore, Dr. G. acquired several certifications related to data science and natural language processing from DataCamp. In 2021, they obtained certifications in Machine Learning Scientist and Data Scientist. Dr. Simi also completed courses in Advanced NLP with SpaCy, Building Chatbots in Python, Feature Engineering for NLP in Python, Natural Language Processing, Sentiment Analysis in Python, and Spoken Language Processing in Python, although specific completion dates were not provided for these certifications. In 2022, they obtained an Enterprise Blockchain Professional certification from 101 Blockchains.
