Mikel Galar Idoate

Mikel Galar Idoate has a diverse range of work experience in the field of computer science. Mikel is currently a co-founder of Neuraptic AI since December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an External Scientific Advisor at Tracasa instrumental starting from June 2018.

Mikel Galar Idoate has also had a long career at Universidad Pública de Navarra. Mikel started as a Collaboration grant recipient from the university, where they worked on a project for Trabajos Catastrales, S.A. (TRACASA) related to house pricing using artificial intelligence techniques. Mikel continued with the university as a Departmental collaboration grant recipient from the Ministry of Education and later as a Project collaborator. Subsequently, they served as a Teaching Assistant, Assistant Professor, and finally, as a Professor Contratado Doctor. Mikel'sresearch and educational focus included machine learning, deep learning, data mining, classification systems, ensembles, multi-class problems, imbalanced datasets, evolutionary algorithms, fuzzy rule-based classification systems, and big data.

Additionally, Mikel Galar Idoate worked as a Visiting Researcher at Bangor University in 2015, collaborating on a research project focused on new methods for multi-class problems in pattern recognition. This research was supported by a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Spain.
