Veena Somareddy has a diverse professional background, beginning with an internship at Sasken in 2011. Veena then worked as a Systems Engineer at Infosys from 2011-2013. During this time, they also worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas from 2013-2014, a Virtual Reality Software Research Intern at Intuitive Surgical in 2013, and a Software Developer at Dimensions and Shapes LLC from 2014-2016. From 2016-2018, Veena worked as an Advanced Technology Engineer at TiVo. In 2017, they also became an Advisor at Future Sight AR. Since 2018, Veena has been the Chief Executive Officer at Neuro Rehab VR and a Coursera Subject Matter Expert & Instructor - Google VR/AR. In this role, they have taught a four-week course on the fundamentals of augmented reality (AR) and how to build an AR experience using ARCore.
Veena Somareddy has a diverse educational background. Veena holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from RNS Institute of Technology, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Game and Interactive Media Design from The University of Texas at Dallas, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Virtual Reality Medical Simulations from The University of Texas at Dallas. In addition, they obtained a certification in Image and Video Processing: From Mars to Hollywood with a Stop at the Hospital from Coursera in March 2015.
