Opher Reviv has extensive work experience in the technology industry, starting in 1990. Opher began their career as a Software Manager at Amber Instruments, where they managed the development of software for specialized weighing controllers. From 1995 to 2000, they worked as a Software Manager at Nogatech Inc, developing and managing drivers and applications for video products. In 2000, they moved to Cisco and served as a Compiler Development Manager at P-Cube, which was later acquired by Cisco.
At Cisco, Opher served in various roles, including Software Development Manager from 2000 to 2011 and Architect from 2005 to 2011. During their time at Cisco, they gained experience in software development and architecture.
In 2011, Opher joined Toga Networks as a Project Lead and Senior System Architect, where they led the development of a cloud networking virtualization solution based on SDN and NFV. Opher was responsible for the architecture, go-to-market strategy, and engagement with tier-1 customers.
From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Software Architect and Product Manager at EZchip, where they focused on defining libraries and architecture for L4-7 stateful technologies. Opher was also involved in DPI, stateful flow table, NFV acceleration, and compiler optimizations.
From 2016 to 2019, Opher served as a Senior Staff Architect at Mellanox Technologies, working on security, pattern matching, and related HW engines. Opher led multiple engagements and proof-of-concepts with cloud vendors, security and network vendors, and security organizations. Opher also worked on products such as ConnectX network adapters and Bluefield SoC.
In 2019, Opher joined NVIDIA as a Senior Staff Software Architect, where they were responsible for the software architecture of security features for the Bluefield DPU smart NIC. Opher created the vision behind NVIDIA's DOCA SDK and led the joint NGFW acceleration project with Palo Alto Networks.
Currently, Opher is working at NeuroBlade as a System Architect and Software Product Manager. Opher has defined the software go-to-market deliverables and APIs and has led the Proof-of-Concept work for an accelerated Spark analytical engine.
Throughout their career, Opher has gained expertise in various technologies, including data analytics, graph compilers, C++, SQL, regex acceleration, security, pattern matching, DPI, compilers, IPSEC, NFV acceleration, P4, XDP, DPDK, and eBPF offload.
Opher Reviv received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, studying from 1988 to 1991.
