Frederick J. Fritz

Founder, President & CEO at NeuroDiagnostic Devices

Mr. Fritz founded NeuroDx to complete the product development and clinical testing efforts begun by Dr. Neff and founded ShuntCheck Inc to commercialize the lead technology, ShuntCheck. Prior to NeuroDx, he founded a biotech company, Valeo Medical, to develop the world’s first non-invasive diagnostic test for endometriosis. In 1997, he founded Songbird Hearing, a medical device spin-out of Sarnoff Corp which developed and launched the world’s first disposable hearing aid. He is a University of Illinois engineer (summa cum laude) and has a Harvard MBA. Mr. Fritz began his career in marketing management and new product development. He joined Schering Plough’s Wesley Jessen in 1985 as VP of Marketing and Sales and introduced Durasoft Colors (the “brown eyes blue” contact lens) in 1986. He was promoted to general manager of Schering’s Over the Counter pharmaceutical business in 1988 and of the podiatric products (Dr. Scholl, Lotrimin, Tinactin) business in 1990. He was President of Coleman North America from 1995-1997.
