Michael Watson, PhD has a wealth of experience in the field of assay development and quality control. Michael started their career in 2005 as a Research Student at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited and then moved to the University of Toronto in the same year, where they were a Researcher in the microfluidics lab of Aaron Wheeler at the University of Toronto Department of Chemistry. Michael then became a MITACS Strategic Elevate Post Doctoral Fellow at Wheeler Microfluidics Laboratory in 2011. In 2012, they took on the role of Senior Scientist at Abbott Point of Care, and then moved to Fluidigm Corporation in 2014, where they were a Senior Scientist and then Scientist II. Finally, in 2018, they joined Neurona Therapeutics as Associate Director, Assay Development and Quality Control, and then progressed to Group Leader, Assay Development, Senior Manager, Assay Development and Sr. Process Engineer.
Michael Watson received their Hon. B.Sc. in Chemistry and Zoology from the University of Toronto - Woodsworth College in 2005. Michael then continued their education at the same institution, earning their Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry in 2010. Prior to this, Michael Watson attended Montcalm Secondary, where they earned their OSSD.
