Malcolm Weed has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Malcolm started their career as the Founder of Energie, a personal training business, where they handled all aspects of the business from sales and marketing to client training. Malcolm then worked at Hyperwallet Systems Inc., initially as a Sales Executive and later as a Senior Account Manager, where they played a crucial role in providing outbound payment solutions to enterprise businesses. After that, Malcolm co-founded Vancouver Bitcoin, a regulated crypto brokerage that became the market leader in Canada. Malcolm also co-founded Bittreo, a spin-off from Vancouver Bitcoin that provided crypto broker services.

Malcolm's journey continued at Sync, where they founded the company and offered consulting services to bitcoin and blockchain startups, specializing in angel and seed funding. Malcolm later joined Trulioo, a tech company offering identity verification services, as a Senior Account Manager, overseeing enterprise accounts. Their role involved streamlining customer onboarding, fraud prevention, and compliance operations.

Malcolm's entrepreneurial spirit and passion for cryptocurrencies and lightning networks led him to found Bitcoin Beach Vietnam, a community promoting bitcoin and lightning merchant acceptance. Malcolm also founded Lightningcon Vietnam, Asia's first bitcoin and lightning conference, to highlight the Asian bitcoin and lightning scene.

Most recently, Malcolm has taken on leadership roles at Neutronpay Inc., a Silicon Valley-funded seed stage startup. Malcolm serves as the Chief Operating Officer, managing the company's lightning network infrastructure for global remittances, payments, and banking. Additionally, they have played a vital role as an Angel Investor, funding the company and enabling its growth until a significant seed round investment.

Malcolm Weed began their education in 1999 at Southern Utah University, where they studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science until 2001. Malcolm then transferred to Livingstone College and continued their studies in the same field from 2001 to 2002. In 2003, Malcolm attended Simon Fraser University, focusing on Kinesiology and Exercise Science for a year. Finally, from 2009 to 2012, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with an Accounting Major at Langara College.
