Austin Alaniz has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Austin began their career as a Site Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater Williamson County, where they managed the staff and programs of an afterschool program at Parkside Elementary. Austin then transitioned to a sales role, working as a Sales Merchandiser at Flowers Foods & Subsidiaries, where they distributed Natures Own Bread to retail stores in Round Rock.

After that, Austin joined OneWest Bank, where they held positions as a Specialist II in Single Point of Contact and later as a Specialist III in Short Sale Administration. In these roles, they responded to telephone inquiries, promoted company products and services, and managed the intake and processing of short sale applications. Austin gained extensive knowledge of servicing requirements for reverse mortgages.

Currently, Austin works at New American Funding, where they have held various positions. Austin started as a Customer Care Specialist and gradually progressed to Customer Care Supervisor. In this role, they managed a call center team, implemented policies and procedures, and resolved escalated issues related to mortgage servicing. Austin also supervised loan administration, including special loans, credit reporting, mailroom, and phone system management. Austin worked closely with the compliance department to develop an FCRA program and built a credit reporting dispute resolution process.

In 2020, Austin was promoted to AVP of Loan Administration at New American Funding. And recently, they have been serving as the VP of Loan Administration since August 2022. Throughout their career, Austin has gained experience in team management, process improvement, customer service, compliance, and credit reporting.

Austin Alaniz attended Texas State University from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration. Prior to that, they studied Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2008 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, Austin obtained a certification in Learn SQL Course from Codecademy in 2022 and became a Certified Mortgage Servicer, CMS through Mortgage Bankers Association in 2018. Austin also holds various residential mortgage servicing certificates from Mortgage Bankers Association, an FCRA Certification from the Consumer Data Industry Association in 2016, and a Notary Public State of Texas certification from the Texas Office of the Secretary of State in 2015.
