Matthew O'Connell

Matthew O'Connell is a seasoned professional in the fields of education, coaching, and podcasting. Currently serving on the management team at The British School of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia since September 2022, Matthew has a diverse background that includes being a podcaster and host for New Books Network since July 2021 and a life coach under O'Connell Coaching since July 2001. In addition to those roles, Matthew has been a certified life coach and senior EFL teacher at the British School of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia since 2006, specializing in English language instruction and exam preparation. As the host and creator of The Imperfect Buddha Podcast since January 2016, Matthew delves into contemporary Western Buddhism while encouraging thoughtful dialogue. Previous experience includes hosting "The English Hour" at Radio Fragola from 2015 to 2018 and teaching English at multiple language schools from 2002 to 2006. Matthew holds a Cambridge DELTA post-graduate diploma and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language Studies from The Open University.
