Barbara Hearn (Brandy)

Barbara "Brandy" Hearn is an experienced educator currently serving as a Sixth Grade Social Studies Teacher at New Canaan Country School since August 2022. Prior to this role, Barbara Hearn worked as a Fourth Grade Teacher at Greens Farms Academy for one year and at Trevor Day School for four years. Earlier experiences include teaching Fourth Grade at Darien Public Schools' Holmes Elementary and serving as a Fourth Grade Associate Teacher at Hackley School. Barbara Hearn began their career as an assistant teacher for Third Grade and Kindergarten at Brunswick School and has also taught English through eClass and WorldTeach. Barbara Hearn holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelor's degree in English and Government from St. Lawrence University.
