Suzanne Liola Matus is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the New England Aquarium. Suzanne has over twenty years of experience in marketing, communications, and public relations.
Suzanne began their career as a Communications Specialist at the National Geographic Society. After a year, they moved to the Boston College School of Social Work where they were the Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives and External Affairs for two years. Suzanne then transitioned to Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University as the Media Relations Coordinator before taking on the role of Director of Marketing and Communications at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In 2008, Suzanne became the Managing Director of Marketing Communications at Boston College, a position they held for nine years.
In 2017, Suzanne joined the New England Aquarium as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In this role, they oversee all marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives for the Aquarium.
Suzanne Liola Matus has a MBA from Boston College Carroll School of Management, and they have also completed two semesters of MBA coursework at St. John's University in Rome, Italy. Suzanne has a BA in English from James Madison University.
