Evan Schacter

Evan Schacter, CPA, Esq. has an extensive work experience in the field of taxation and law. Evan is currently serving as the Tax Director (Head of Tax) at New Fortress Energy since September 2022, and previously worked as a Tax Counsel at the same company from August 2021 to September 2022. Prior to their current position, Evan worked as an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP from September 2016 to August 2021. Evan gained significant experience in tax and audit during their tenure as a Senior Tax Associate at KPMG US from July 2014 to May 2016, where they specialized in financial services. Evan also served as a Senior Tax Associate at Rothstein Kass from November 2009 to June 2014, and as an Intern at Graham Capital Management in 2007.

Evan Schacter, CPA, Esq. graduated from the Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics at the University of Delaware in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a focus on Accounting and Management Information Systems. From 2012 to 2013, they attended Brooklyn Law School, working towards a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Evan then transferred to Fordham University School of Law, where they completed their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2013 to 2016.
