Mike Pörtzgen has extensive experience in various roles within the energy and industrial infrastructure sectors. Mike most recently served as the Vice President of Asset Maintenance & Engineering at New Fortress Energy starting in December 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director of Engineering And Operations at Vopak Industrial Infrastructure Americas (VIIA) from October 2020 to November 2023. Mike also held multiple positions at Vopak, including Manager of Engineering & Maintenance US Southern Region, Manager of Operational Excellence, and Terminal Manager in Australia from June 2013 to November 2019. Before joining Vopak, Mike was the Manager of Maintenance Contracts, New Constructions, and Projects at J. de Jonge flowsystems B.V. from November 2011 to May 2013. Mike also served as the Maintenance Manager and a member of the management team at Neste Oil from June 2009 to November 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked at LyondellBasell as an Instrumentation/Electrical & Analytical Maintenance Superintendent and as a Senior Project Engineer.
Mike Pörtzgen obtained a Certificate in Management Program from AGSM @ UNSW Business School in 2015. Mike also studied Mechanical Engineering at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences. In addition, they pursued Measuring and Control engineering at the same institution.
