David Smith

David Smith has a diverse range of work experience in finance and accounting. David began their career as a Customer Service Representative at Insurance Plus Agencies, LLC, where they serviced and sold various insurance products and also prepared tax returns. David then worked as an Insurance Advisor at Johnny White State Farm and later at Chad Clayton State Farm. In 2011, they became an Insurance Agent/Owner at Texas Annuity Advisors, advising clients on annuities, auto, life, and home insurance. David also owned and operated a small insurance agency. David then transitioned to working at New Hope Church as an Accounting Assistant, before moving on to Harrington, Carbone, & Allison LLP as an Accountant. In 2015, they joined American National as a Staff Investment Accountant, where they recorded daily cash receipts and disbursements, assisted with general ledger entries, prepared financial reports, and conducted state filings. David also had a brief internship as a Financial Control intern at American National. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Finance at New Hope Church.

David Smith completed an Associate's degree in General Studies at Alvin Community College from 2008 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Houston-Clear Lake from 2013 to 2015.
