Gerard Barry

Gerard Barry has an extensive work experience in the insurance and financial industry. Gerard started their career in 2003 as a Trainee Actuary at Mercer, where they worked until 2006. In 2006, they joined New Ireland Assurance as an Actuary and held various roles including Business Development Actuary, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Managing Director's Office, and Head of Strategic Change. Currently, they serve as the Head of Strategic Finance - Davy Integration Programme at New Ireland Assurance.

Gerard Barry holds a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Belvedere College from 1993 to 1999. Additionally, they are a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries Ireland, having completed their education at the Society of Actuaries Ireland. In 2018, they earned a QFA certification from LIA.
