Yael Shacham is an experienced facilitator and teaching artist with a strong focus on early childhood education and the performing arts. Currently, Shacham serves as a Program Leader at Battery Park City Authority, leading creative programs for pre-K children and caregivers. Yael has an ongoing role at New Jersey Performing Arts Center since 2013, contributing as a teaching artist in various programs including WolfTrap NJ Early Learning Through the Arts and Music Together, while also applying the ORFF method and West African drum techniques. As a dance accompanist, Yael supports programs at Sharron Miller's Academy for the Performing Arts and Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Additional experience includes teaching for The Arc of Bergen and Passaic Counties, co-founding Marafanyi Drum, Dance & Song, and engaging with organizations dedicated to the arts for individuals with disabilities. Educational background includes studies in West African Drum & Dance and Audio Research.
