Melba Tajallieh Aguilar currently serves as a Law Clerk at the New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department since May 2023. Prior to this role, Melba worked as a Secondary Science Teacher at Socorro High School from August 2018 to May 2022. Melba gained significant research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant in Heterogeneous Catalysis at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology from August 2015 to August 2018, where responsibilities included the synthesis and characterization of catalysts and lab management. Additional experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant for various chemical engineering courses, a Journalist for Paydirt Newspaper, and an Assistant Accountant at Alaska Seaplanes. Melba holds a Master of Science in Materials Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, both from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, and is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor at The University of New Mexico School of Law.
