Adolfo Mendez currently serves as Special Counsel at the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General since January 2023, bringing significant experience in legal representation for governmental entities. Previously, Adolfo was the Chief of Policy and Planning at the Office of the Second Judicial District Attorney from January 2017 to December 2022, and served as City Attorney for the City of Moriarty from September 2014 to December 2016. Adolfo's legal career includes tenure at Wallin, Huss & Mendez, LLC, and Wallin & Briones Law Firm, LLC, as well as a position as Assistant General Counsel for the New Mexico Environment Department. Adolfo holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of New Mexico School of Law, a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Stanford University. Areas of specialization include government defense of tort claims, appeals of administrative decisions, municipal prosecution, and conducting public hearings.
