Xander Slager

Xander Slager is a seasoned entrepreneur and speaker with a strong background in the fashion industry. As Co-Founder of New Optimist since December 2020, Xander is dedicated to creating a bold and optimistic fashion era. In August 2023, Xander became a speaker with The Next Speaker, focusing on themes such as circular fashion, steward ownership, and addiction and recovery. Previously, Xander co-founded Plant Army, aimed at addressing sustainability in outerwear, and owned SPOOM, an urban outerwear label in the Netherlands, from February 2002 to February 2021. Additionally, Xander co-founded UnitedStyles in November 2010, which enabled consumers to design and order custom clothing online. Xander's educational background includes business studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and attendance at Gymnasium Erasmianum in Rotterdam.
